A Mediterranean style villa set in the cooler hills of Assagay, above Durban.
We welcome business and leisure travellers with warm hospitality, generous comfort and friendly, efficient service.

 
 

Chartwell is located in the lush hills of Assagay, close to the Valley of a Thousand Hills, with easy access to the M13 and N3 highways. Conveniently situated for business and leisure, we are a 30-minute drive from Durban International airport, 5 minutes from Hillcrest and approximately ten minutes from Pinetown and Hammersdale.

Chartwell is an ideal base for visitors to the popular local wedding venues, private boarding schools, equestrian facilities of Summerveld/Shongweni and attractions found on the major tourists routes in the area.

 
 

We have 8 rooms which include 3 individually decorated double en suite bedrooms, a luxury honeymoon suite, spacious family room and a small self catering unit.

 
 
 

All rooms have TV, hairdryer, tea / coffee and complimentary toiletries.

 
 

A full English breakfast is served daily in the elegant, relaxing dining room.

 
 

FUNCTIONS AND CONFERENCES

We host business and recreational functions. Our air-conditioned functions room accommodates up to 60 guests, with media projector, flip chart, whiteboards etc.

A small reading room, business facilities, toilets and breakaway areas are adjacent. Spacious dining, bar and lounging areas are for our guests comfort and use.

Spacious lounges, a cosy bar, private courtyard with a tranquil pool and a quiet reading room are there for your enjoyment. Use of a well-equipped business centre is also available on request
