Scuba Diving:

Come and take a plunge into another world at one of our destinations. This is one activity we highly recommend. Southern African oceans are diverse with animal and plant life. There are also opportunities to dive ship wrecks and cave diving for the experienced divers. All of the commercial dive charters listed here are fully qualified to train and guide people.

Shark diving:

Shark diving is becoming more popular for tourists who want to get close to nature. Scientists who study these magnificent beasts are making some interesting discoveries. Sharks were first thought to be rushless killers of the sea and are still feared to this day. The scientists say no, they are exremely selective about what, how and when they feed. Find out for yourself and take a shark dive, I dare you ! :) Find out what it is like to swim alongside some of south africas largest predatory sharks. We have separate categories for each species of shark ranging from the Great White to the lazy Ragged Tooth Sharks.

Great White cage diving

Let me first say that I have dived a few of these venues and I can honestly tell you that they are amongst the most professional outfits in Southern Africa. Great White cage diving is indeed a skin crawling experience. When you come face to face with a Great White, you know that you are small and useless compared to the brute power in front of you. Yet the shear beauty of these animals is overwhelming. Interesting note: A great White Shark is warm blooded.

Ragged Tooth Sharks

These are lazy sharks that have no interest in feeding on humans. They do have an attitude though. If you give then a fright by swimming up to them from behind, they dart off until out of sight. Beware that if you are in front of the shark and it desides to take off, there is a chance that it is going to collide with you. There a strict protocols when diving with these sharks and I suggest that you follow their guidelines exactly. This dive will leave you in a state of uephoria for a couple of days. This is seasonal so contact the destination of your choice before you make your trip.
