Should you just feel like relaxing the Chobe Marina swimming pool is an ideal refuge. Golfers too are catered for with a golf course in close proximity to the lodge.
Chobe National Park Game Viewing
Game drives in the Chobe National Park offers excellent game viewing opportunities. If you allow yourself adequate time here you will probably see nearly all the major species: giraffe, elephant, zebra, impala, tsessebe, roan, sable, wildebeest, kudu, buffalo, waterbuck, warthog, eland and accompanying predators including lion, hyena, jackal, bat-eared fox and possibly even cheetah and wild dog.
Chobe Marina Lodge lush expansive gardens are home to an abundance of wildlife, including the legendary fish eagle, warthog, squirrel, mongoose, vervet monkeys and fruit bat.
Sundowners Cruise
Very few people travel to Victoria Falls without taking at least the famous sundowner cruise down the Zambezi River. What better way to view wildlife, including numerous bird species, than drifting slowly down a side channel, the silence broken only by bird calls. From the boat, it is possible to see herds of mighty elephant, giraffe, hippo and other wild animals returning to the Chobe River to quench their thirst.
Sightseeing cruise to Sedudu island
No trip to Chobe would be complete without a including a leisurely sightseeing cruise to Sedudu Island. Sedudu Island, as it is known to the people of Botswana, is submerged by floods for several months of the year. Sedudu Island is a perfect venue from which to marvel at the magnificent African sunset, whilst enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. The sun downer river cruise is a MUST for viewing and photographic opportunities.
Fishing the Famed Tiger Fish
A prime attraction to Chobe would be the coveted, majestic and powerful Tiger Fish (Hydrocynus vittatus) which is considered by many as the top freshwater game fish in the world. For a thrilling experience you can try you hand at fishing for this famed tiger fish, which inhabit the Chobe River. If you are looking to add another story to the list of "those that got away" the Tiger Fish would have to be your number one choice.
White Water Rafting - Victoria Falls
This is the wildest white water on the planet and the actual experience surpasses this analogy. White Water Rafting on the Zambezi River below the Victoria Falls has been classified by the British Canoe Union as Grade 5 - "extremely difficult, long and violent rapids, steep gradients, big drops and pressure areas". The Zambezi River is classified as a high volume; pool-drop river as there is little exposed rock either in the rapid or the pools below the rapids.
