by tarred road from East London is Mpongo Private Game Reserve, authentic,

A stunning six-bedroomed guest lodge with spacious cabin-type

At R 275.00 per person, for a minimum of 4 persons
per drive, including a complimentary meal at the Huberta
Restaurant, game watchers are treated to an informed, 2½ to
3 hour taste of African wildlife through lush river valleys and hills, complete
with a picnic style refreshment stop from a vantage point.
Visitors’ security is always top priority to Mpongo
Private Game Reserve staff, so you can be assured of a highly Professional
and Safe game drive. In the interest of safety for all please advise
the reserve Staff on making your booking of the ages of children below 7
years to ascertain whether they will be permitted to participate in a game
drive.
Few other reserves can boast the concentration of game Mpongo
enjoys, so while Africa’s wild are free to roam in a spacious natural
environment, visitors are sure to see much wildlife during a drive. Bush
walks are offered for those more daring, where you can experience Africa’s
secrets first-hand.
Easy to find, Mpongo is only 25km, or 20 minutes, from East
London along the tarred and well sign-posted Stutterheim Road. Its close
proximity to the city means that guests can drive into town for shopping,
cinema or theatre entertainment, or to take in the area’s gorgeous
blue ocean and endless sandy beaches.
East London also boasts a world-renowned aquarium complete
with whale-watching deck, a zoo, a comprehensive up-to-date museum, international-standard
golf courses, sporting stadiums and clubs, several gyms, an Olympic-sized

Suite at the Luxury Lodge, complete with champagne, jacuzzi, fluffy terry
robes, and of course, breakfast in bed.
The wedding menu is vast – couples can choose for
their event hot African spit roasts or potjies, among other mouth-watering
traditional fare, or they can go for something more international – be
it country-specific, or even more global. Ask our master chef to design a
menu to suit you.

Wedding parties can also arrange for game drives, bonfires
in the relaxing boma, traditional dancers and earthy African music.
