At Leribisi Lodge, our Pretoria conference venue, we offer a variety of conferencing facilities with conference rooms for groups ranging from 2 to 150 delegates. Located in the Pretoria East countryside, yet close to major highways, attractions and shopping centers, including Menlyn, as well as airports, you will find unmatched tranquility, conducive to concentrating and achieving your conference, meeting or bosberaad goals. Our conference clients benefit from our flexibility in matching to their unique requirements and needs and we are highly rated for our friendly and efficient service.

With a choice of comfortable rooms, cottages and self-catering chalets, our comfortable accommodation is perfect for bed & breakfast, private breakaways or corporate overnight conferences. All our rooms are en-suite and we can accommodate up to 54 delegates (sharing) at our venue.

We are renowned for our delicious catering – for functions, weddings and restaurant meals. With a choice of wedding and function halls at our conference venue and our lovely thatch-roofed chapel and a complete spectrum of services, Leribisi Lodge is a preferred venue for special occasions and events in Pretoria. Our Lapa with boma and bonfire remains one of our most popular venues on site for functions as well as weddings – it not only offers guests an opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and serene atmosphere of the outdoors, but also privacy and plenty of space.

At our teambuilding venue at Leribisi Lodge in Pretoria East, we have been actively involved in presenting and facilitating team development, leadership training and
corporate recreation for more than 10 years.

Our venue for teambuilding boasts a variety of teambuilding facilities, including a High and Low Ropes course, a huge sandpit (which also transforms into a beach volleyball court), a 4x4 vehicle training track, a fun ‘veld’ track for quad-biking, a swimming pool and 9-hectares of rural property for all activities imaginable. We also work with various highly trained and specialized associates to enhance our team development programme – these services include profile analysis, motivational speaking and accredited training courses amongst others.

In addition, we have a Lapa/boma with bonfire for group sessions, halls and venues for indoors activities and comfortable overnight accommodation (for up to 60 delegates, depending on sleeping arrangements).

The Leribisi Team Development Programme was designed and developed by our experienced facilitators, who also present the activities. The programme focuses on breaking down the distance between team members and embracing the unique differences within a group to the advantage of the team’s success. Our trained and experienced facilitators assist during the whole learning process, providing feedback, debriefing sessions and ensuring everyone is involved and benefits from the session.


At Leribisi, every teambuilding package is tailor-made to address the specific needs of each client. Depending on the needs identified, our facilitators will include topics such as: vision and mission (with the bigger picture in mind); each team member’s role and responsibility in the group; values for the company or team and clarifying the meaning of each; setting medium and short term goals for the team; communication; support; trust; assertiveness; conflict styles and diversity.

On average we were able to improve the evaluation done by the group (at the conclusion of a Leribisi two day teambuilding session) on the above concepts from 65% to 85%.

Our teambuilding package uses experiential learning techniques and interactive adventure-related activities and even though the outcome is serious, the programme is designed to be lots of fun too.

Our corporate recreation package:

We offer an excellent and very exciting Corporate Recreation Programme at our teambuilding venue. In short, our recreation day could be defined a fun day with lots of activities. But even though it is lots of fun, a lot of learning takes place too.

On a corporate recreation day our aim is to create a carnival atmosphere. Delegates are welcomed with upbeat, pulsing music and coffee, tea and an energy snack (they will need it!). After an ice breakers session, the group is divided into the teams and issued with face paint and bandanas to create a team identity for themselves. Teams are also challenged to create and present their own war cry. Then fun and games start…
 
We make use of various events and teams compete against each other to determine the winning team at the end of the day. Events are categorized as “big” or “small”. The bigger events, for example 4x4 driving, quad-bike relay, archery, laser clay and paintball are used in rotation with smaller events to create an unforgettable experience. A potjiekos cook-out competition could be linked to the day’s programme. Team members get the opportunity to experience each other in a different environment and learn how to work together as a team.

Leadership Training:

We offer a highly acclaimed Leadership Training Programme for schools, tertiary and various other institutions. We use experiential learning methods, teambuilding events and recreation activities to assist individuals in developing their leadership potential. Our leadership programmes are tailor-made to ensure the best outcome for each group and presented at our teambuilding venue in Pretoria or at the group’s premises if desired.
