While you are sipping wine or champagne, hovering over the tree tops of the beautiful Magalies River Valley, or drifting majestically high above the Magaliesberg mountain range, all stress floats away.
Bill Harrop's "Original" Balloon Safaris Magalies Tour While waiting for the crew to prepare your balloons for your flight, Bill Harrop’s staff offer you a warm coffee or tea. Flight duration: about one hour (dependent on conditions) Champagne is served either in-flight or on landing, then you are transferred by mini-bus back to the Bill Harrop’s country base for a freshly cooked "farm-style champagne breakfast" and presentation of "citations for bravery". Return mini-bus transfers to hotels for those collected earlier in the morning. Bill Harrop’s professional pilots, attentive crew, immaculately maintained equipment, 5 aviation safety awards, make this longest established licensed balloon airline in southern Africa the choice of the well informed discerning individual traveler or corporate group. Groups, Corporate Entertainment And Team Building Bill Harrop’s offer hot air balloon flights for corporate entertainment or team building activities. Bill Harrop’s would be happy to assist in the arranging of the launch site and the base restaurant to be decorated with Company banners, flags and bunting or displays. Live music can be arranged from a harpist or a string quartet to a real jumpin' jazz band.
Combining a typical Balloon Safari with the Ballooning Challenge is a great adventure that provides a new and exciting medium for teambuilding. On a teambuilding balloon safari, participants are placed in a unique situation, enabling them to challenge themselves and develop co-operative and interdependent relationships with their peers and business associates.
The Programme for the “Ballooning Challenge” Included in the teambuilding group balloon safari programme, each team is allocated a balloon and a pilot. Just after sunrise, a "Met" balloon is released to determine the various wind directions at different altitudes, so that a "target site" can be chosen.
Each team is required to assist their pilot in preparing their hot air balloon for flight. After a safety briefing, the balloons take off and each team is required to direct their pilot to fly at the correct heights to catch the most favorable wind directions.
Bill Harrop’s launch site is convenient enough for the access of a large tour bus, and is big and safe enough to accommodate arrivals of VIPs by helicopter. Tel: + 27 (0) 11 705 3201 ROAMING AFRICA OFFERS YOU AN
