Koelenrust Estate is a self-catering Guest Farm, set in a lush garden amongst big trees.
The peace and tranquility will take you far from the city lights, although only 30 minutes drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria and 10 minutes from Lanseria International Airport. The ideal breakaway in the country, be it business or pleasure.
The 2,5-hectare Estate is situated in the heart of the Crocodile Ramble and is also bordering the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site – which offer plenty of sightseeing for tourists.
The owners, Danie Odendaal, a veterinarian and his wife Salomé, a Public Relations Consultant, renovated the Estate into a haven for city dwellers who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life to relax in nature.
Whether you relax next to the pool, have a braai in the Boma, cuddle up in front of the fireplace with a book or go for a walk to enjoy nature and its abundant birdlife, Koelenrust Estate is the place to unwind.
Koelenrust Estate offers self-catering accommodation in rustic thatch roof cottages, country style garden rooms and a luxury bridal suite that can accommodate up to 24 guests (sharing). Each unit has a private entrance that opens up into the garden. The farm-style kitchens are fully equipped, although, the choice of a variety of restaurants in the area offer interesting dining options. Choose from elegant restaurants to informal pizza inns.

Each room consists of a large sleeping area with twin beds, an en-suite shower room and a fully equipped kitchenette
Blue Rain Cottage
The Blue Rain thatch roof cottage consists of 2 Bedrooms with double beds, en-suite bathroom each, fully equipped shared kitchen and lounge.
Pomegranate cottage
The Pomegranate thatch roof cottage is a one-room studio with a double bed, en-suite shower room and fully equipped kitchen.
Ginkgo Biloba Suite
The Ginkgo Biloba is a suite in the Main House which is ideal for a bride-to-be or a bridal couple. The suite has its own private entrance into the garden and consists of a large bedroom with queen size bed, en-suite bathroom, a lounge/dining room and fully equipped kitchen.

Conferences and Functions
KoelenRust offers day conferences for up to 18 delegates and small open air functions such as:
• Intimate small garden weddings,
• Corporate Christmas parties in the Boma or Lapa
