iGwala gwala is a place enjoyed most by people who value exclusivity and appreciate nature. It's not for people who want all the luxuries of a 'home away from home' when going on holiday. It's a true break from your reality... no electricity or TV's... just peace, quiet and tranquility... and of course a bit of adventure if you feel like it!

This beautiful private reserve has Natural Heritage Status and is situated in the pristine rolling hills of Northern Zululand. (3km from Ithala Game Reserve - malaria free area) iGwala gwala offers spectacular scenery, a secluded game lodge, gourmet meals and exciting activities - EXCLUSIVE TO ONE GROUP AT A TIME!


You can get the entire reserve just for you and your party of up to 10 people! Our secluded Bush Lodge is rustic, charming, built of natural rock and thatch, and is tucked away in the valley next to a stream.

Facilities include:
Fully equipped kitchen.
Dining and lounge area with fireplace.
Patio with magnificent view.
One chalet with two rooms (sleeps 4 - one double bed and 2 singles).
Another chalet also with two rooms (sleeps 8 - one double bed and 6 singles).
TEMPORARY tented accommodation to accommodate bigger groups (on request).
Two fully equipped bathrooms.
Outdoors braai (BBQ) areas.


PLEASE NOTE! The roads are bad! In dry conditions a 2X4 bakkie (pick-up) will make it to the lodge. After / during rain however, the Lodge is only accessible by 4X4.

WE'LL PROVIDE YOU WITH TRANSFERS TO AND FROM THE LODGE IF NEEDED. OUR OPEN-TOP LAND CRUISER MAKES EVERY TRIP A SCENIC BUSH-DRIVE!

Please deposit the relevant amount into the account mentioned below, and fax the deposit slip to us. The outstanding amount is payable before departure. WE REGRETTABLY DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS.

If you book well in advance, it is required that you Deposit 50% of the total amount into the account within 14 days of the booking. If your booking is placed less than 14 days prior to your planned stay at the reserve, it is advisable to deposit 50% of the amount as soon as possible!
