Few would believe that a tranquil tropical getaway is so close to the hustle and bustle of mainland airports. Many members of that great global fishing club will marvel at the excitement of lure and fly fishing here in search of the abundance of fighting gamefish in these azure waters.

These waters are home to the legends in game fishing - spectacular tail-walkers and headstrong runners. This is the place for world record size queenfish and many kingfish species. They swim with marlin, sailfish, tuna and the fastest fish in the ocean - the streamlined wahoo.

They strike an array of lures and flies presented on the troll, jigging near the bottom or popping on the surface.Fishing with light tackle, the churning of the water and the shriek of the reel signal the start of an adrenaline rash comparable to rare moments when you are duelling with the big bullish stapped into a fighting chair. Keep your bounty as dinner or gently revive the magnificent creature after release to fight another day.

Watch the white foam as the bow of your fishing craft slices the Indian Ocean or the wake swirling behind the boat with bright chartreuse lure skimming across the surface. Take in sunrise, the clear blue skies and sunset signaling the end of a perfect fishing or tropical day.

Comprehensive fishing package options have been specially devised ranging from relaxed to serious fishing. Costs cover dinner, bed, breakfast and accommodation at Inhaca Lodges as well as boat hire. The only extras are boat fuel, drinks, guides and transfers to and from Inhaca island from mainland to Mozambique.

Fresh Water Fishing

Our first choice is the Mwandi Multi-day Fishing Trips

This location is 150 Kms above Victoria Falls (Zambia) and approximately 40Kms below Katima Mulilo (Caprivi Strip). Minimum: 3 pax, Maximum: 6 pax. Includes 3 meals per day, accommodation that is fully serviced, boat hire, guide, fuel, transfers, fishing equipment and tackle ( lost tackle will be paid for). The drinks are at an extra charge. The fish that are commonly caught are Tiger, Robustas Bream, 3 Spot, Mozambiquer, Thin Speekle Face Bream and Barbel.

Our second choice is the Victoria Falls Day Trips

This location is 30 Kms above the Victoria Falls. There are half day and full day fishing trips available. The minimum is 2 pax and the maximum is 16 pax. The transfers, boat hire, guide, fishing equipment and tackle, refreshments are included in this deal, however lost tackle will be paid for. The fish that are mostly caught includes but not limited to Tiger, Robustas Bream, Zambezi Yellow, Thin Faced large mouth, Speckled face bream, Pink Happy, Green HEaded Bream. A bonus is the fantastic opportunity of viewing an abundance of wildlife that includes Elephants, hippos, crocodiles and bird life amongst others.

Our third choice is the Mombova House Boat

This location is 70 Kms above the Victoria Falls at the confluence of the Zambezi and the Chobe Rivers. Comfortable house boat on the Zambezi River-sleeping a maximum of 8 pax ( Jacuzzi avalable ). Includes accommodation, 3 meals, guide, fuel, boat, fishing equipment and tackle (lost tackle will be paid for) and the drinks are an extra charge. The fish caught there includes Tiger, Robustas, Thin Faced large mouth, Speckled face bream, Pink happy, Green headed bream, Barbel.
