Dugong Beach Lodge is a treasure chest of Mozambique’s endless beauty, it’s cultural diversity and relaxed lifestyle.
The Lodge is situated on the spectacular San Sabastião peninsula in the Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary located on the tropical east coast of Africa. The Sanctuary boasts a large bay, tidal sand flats, an estuarine lagoon, sea grass beds, freshwater lakes, mangrove swamps, coral and rocky reefs, idyllic sandy beaches, forested dunes and lush bush.
The 12 Air-conditioned Chalets, comprising of 14 Bedrooms will be closer to the beach, and the baths and showers will overlook its own private garden courtyard. Each chalet will have an individual walkway to the beach with a private Sala, furnished with day beds for relaxation and massages. Interflowing swimming pools, Island style bar with martini seats, boma & deck with open fire and floating jetty (to ensure easier access) completes the island experience.
Dugong Beach Lodge embraces all manner of island-style relaxation encouraging guests to unwind and enjoy barefoot luxury, endless vistas and solitary walks along white, sandy shores.
For the more energetic, activities include scuba diving, snorkelling, trips on board a dhow (traditional Arab sailing boat), fishing and excursions.
