Bergwaters Lodge is ideally situated in the beautiful, malaria-free area of Mpumalanga in the Elands Valley.
Popular tourist destinations such as Kruger National Park, Sabie, Dullstroom, White River, Blyde River, Sudwala Caves, Long Tom Pass, Pilgrims Rest and Kaapschehoop are all within close proximity (1/2 to 2 hours drive).
The spectacular Elands Waterfall is just up the road from the lodge, near the old ZASM tunnel.
We neighbor a beautiful, private nature reserve where a relaxing walk can be taken along the Joubertspruit, which boasts some lovely, secluded rock pools.
If it is just for a quick stop-over or to get away from the “rat race” to unwind and rejuvenate your mind and body, then Bergwaters Lodge is the place for you! The lodge stands on Boer War General Piet Joubert's farm, Doornhoek.
Bergwaters Lodge offers 7 chalets with en-suite bathrooms, a family unit with two bedrooms and a bathroom, a self-catering unit and a romantic honeymoon suite with a fireplace.
Your hosts, Chris and Janine, will receive you with warm hospitality and excellent service. The food is of the highest standard and is tastefully prepared by our experienced chef.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast to start the day. Lunch is on request and to end the day, we will delight your taste buds with a mouth-watering, four-course meal served in our cosy, fire lit restaurant. You are also able to relax in the pub or in the comfort of the lounge after a busy day of sightseeing.
For energetic guests we have a tennis court, squash court, pool table, gym with a sauna and a dartboard.
Alternatively, you can simply relax around the beautiful pool.
Trout fishing, abseiling, horse riding, train rides and quad biking can be arranged.
We also have a conference room that can seat up to 20 delegates (depending on accommodation arrangements or day conferencing).
