Bushfellows Game Lodge - Marble Hall - Mpumalanga - Conference Venue

Bushfellows is the realisation of one couple's dream to create an ecologically sound and biologically diverse game ranch within easy driving distance from Johannesburg. Gary  and Mandy van den Berg acquired what was then 'Little Eden' in 1999 and has populated the surrounding bush with hundreds of Africa's finest wild animals.

The chalets at Bushfellows' 'Little Eden' epitomize rustic beauty and luxury.
All under thatch, the chalets are fitted with fine linen and the en-suite bathrooms are all fully equipped. The six chalets are situated together in a horse shoe shape, with a splash pool inthe centre. They are named after the birds to be found in the area.

Lighting and heating are by gas and paraffin

Tented Camp

Get really up close with antelope, zebra and giraffe. Hear their sounds- track their spoor   around your tent.  Bush Fellows also has a luxury tented camp, situated in the bush, half a kilometer from the main lodge. The camp consists of 6 large four sleeper tents, each complete with a two 3/4 beds and wooden clothes drawers, as well as a twin bunk bed in a separate room.   An open air en-suite shower, toilet and wash basin within  the tent.  Tents are fully serviced.

Each tent facility has its own "donkie" supplying hot water and a "braai" area.  There is a large communal "braai / boma" enclosure centrally situated to the 6 tents. tents are supplied with fans, hairdryer and electricity,

Our rustically natural bush camps are positioned under large marula trees deep in the bush. The unique open-air bathrooms are en suite.  A mixture of woods and indigeounous river pebbles.

Bushfellows has a number of unusual scenic dining locations. Dinners are served in the balmy ambiance of the summer bushveld  amidst the hypnotic symphony of night creatures.
The standard of cuisine is exemplified when enjoyed in our unusual eateries; variety being the vice at Bush Fellows.  Dinner on the deck alongside  a watering hole.

Modeled on the Zimbabwe Ruins, 'Little Zimbabwe' evokes the timeless majesty of ancient African culture and is a favorite spot to enjoy a sunset cocktail.

Beneath a high thatch ceiling an open hearth fire warms the restaurant at 'Little Eden'. Our menu is a mixture of wholesome meals and authentic bush cooking. Guests can expect multi-course meals of the highest standard- from venison stews to vegetarian dishes and delicious desserts. Breakfast at Bush Fellows includes home baked muffins, yogurts and cereals

Alongside the restaurant is Mandy's Wine Cellar where a premium and mid-priced selection of local cultivars lie in rest, waiting for you. The bar is an informal party venue with an open air spit barbeque where venison and lamb slowly turn. Mandy's is acquiring something bordering legendary status amongst its visitors who have spent many hours beneath the thatch eaves feasting and supping and gabbing away 'till sun up.

The Restaurant Bar  stocks a fine selection of liqueurs, spirits, cigars and beers.

You haven't really eaten out until you've enjoyed a feast with friends in our stately Lapa. Under the brilliant Milky Way, you'll see constellations you've never seen before. A particular novelty is deciding if the the light arcing its way across the heavens is a shooting star or a satellite. A sight for jaded city eyes, for sure.

Meals are cooked right in front of you on the central fireplace. Big iron pots, known in Africa as 'potjies', simmer on the coals cooking up venison, lamb, beef, chicken and vegetable stews. Our attendant staff makes sure you dine in fitting luxury and service is of the silver sort.

Ideal for corporate get aways, to bring people and ideas together in an unhurried and peaceful environment, that's Bushfellows' Conference Centre. The conference centre is situated next to a lush water feature.

The conference centre at Bushfellows provides the perfect location for corporate programs. Teams can work on their project in a tranquil environment and enjoy the creature comforts laid on by the efficient catering staff. The conference centre has an overhead projector, a VCR and television. The Lodge has DSTV.
Bushfellows also has  a number of unique team building activities organized by the Lodge manager.
