Situated on the shores of Da Gama Lake - this tranquil Lakeside Lodge is set in the most beautiful part of the Lowveld in close proximity to White River, Kruger Park and the Panorama Route. The 25 recently refurbished suites are all en-suite, satellite TV, lounges, individual fireplaces and private terraces. Lake Side Suites: Rooms with king-sized double bed, lounge area with comfortable chairs and coffee table, TV, bathroom-en-suite, fireplace and private patio. Garden Suites: Rooms with twin beds, lounge area with comfortable chairs and coffee table, bathroom-en-suite, fireplace and private patio. Standard Rooms: Twin beds, TV, fireplace, patio and bathroom-en-suite.
Cottage (Honeymoon) Suite: A room with four post king-sized double bed, lounge area with comfortable chairs and coffee table, TV, bathroom-en-suite, fireplace and private pool. All our suites have a magnificent view over the lake. Mealtimes bring out the best of the Hulala Lakeside Lodge. Enjoy hearty breakfasts and sumptuous dinners in the resta. You can choose from an extensive breakfast menu served on the terrace or in the restaurant. A delicious pub lunch is served at the pool or under the trees alongside the impressive Rock Inn Bar. As the sun goes down enjoy a cocktail in the lounge before entering the romantic Feathers Restaurant for a fine dining experience. All dishes are freshly prepared and cooked by our experienced chefs and offer a wide range of culinary masterpieces to delight all palates.
There is also a swimming pool for those lazy 'paperback' days in the wonderful Lowveld sunshine Moments are never dull - fishing, nature walks, a sundowner cruise, canoes, paddle boats and the sparkling pool are on your doorstep, with golf, horse riding and the Kruger National Park only a short distance away.
The most popular activity at Hulala is boating. No power boats are allowed on the water, which maintains the ambiance of peace and tranquility, but we have a fleet of small boats such as 'Mohawk' two-man canoes, pedalos, rowing boats, bass boats for the anglers, and the ever favorite 'Sundowner' cruise. There are three walking trails on the property. One is an easy stroll through the plantation, the others are slightly more energetic, through streams and over rock into indigenous forest. These walks take an hour to 90 minutes. Bird life is prolific with our resident family of African Fish Eagles, seven species of Kingfisher, Egyptian Geese, African Jacana and the elusive Narina Togan. News of hundreds of White Fronted Bee-Eaters nesting in the embankment has travelled far, and visitors frequently pop up in to photograph these birds.
