- White River area - Mpumalanga -

Bought by new owners three years ago, Jatinga Country Lodge has undergone a major facelift with extensive renovations to the original 1920's homestead and existing rooms. With a long and proud tradition of excellence in all areas - from the tantalising cuisine to the luxurious redecorated rooms and suites - this 5-star country lodge offers guests the very best of Mpumalanga. Located on the outskirts of White River and only 38 km from the Kruger National Park, the hotel is nestled amongst over 30 acres of magnificent rolling green lawns and lush sub-tropical gardens with some of the most impressive river frontage winding its way through the estate.

Victorian, Provencal, French Country, African Colonial, Colonial and English Country rooms and suites offer guests luxurious comfort and secluded privacy.
Showers set in private gardens are just one of the features when checking into the Victorian rooms while ½ ton, solid concrete baths greet guests in the Provencal bathrooms.

The sumptuous Colonial suite offers guests their own private sitting room, private patio leading off the bedroom and original ball-and-claw baths in the classic black and white tiled bathrooms. Double-sided open fireplaces take centre stage in the English Country Suites.
Satellite TV is available in all rooms as are well stocked mini-bars together with tea and coffee making facilities, complete with delicious home baked biscuits.

The original Jatinga is a village in India located on a spur of the Haflong ridge, part of the Borail range, where nature has been bountiful - very much like at Jatinga Country Lodge in White River!

The village is lush and abundant with bird life and many different species of orchids and, while a trip to the Haflong ridge may be out of reach of many, very similar conditions can be experienced and enjoyed at Jatinga Country Lodge.

One of Jatinga's legendary picnic hampers is a must if you are planning a trip into the nearby Kruger National Park (Numbi entrance gate is 38 km from the lodge) or a day trip to take in the scenic splendours of the Panorama route - like God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Blyde River Canyon and Pilgrims Rest. The same applies if you are planning an evening out to The Barnyard theatre, at nearby Casterbridge Farm, where theatre goers are encouraged to take a hamper along and enjoy dinner in the festive atmosphere prior to the show beginning.

Jatinga's A la Carte Restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a varied and tempting menu that will satisfy even the most discerning diner.
The "Lord Milner" - the lodge's pub - is the meeting place for pre-dinner drinks. The cosy atmosphere, enhanced by the pub's vibrant burnt orange walls, tends to "capture" guests for yet another round!
Sundowners on the elevated wooden deck overlooking the White River are a must for guests wanting to take in some of the abundant bird life together with a breathtaking sunset.

Jatinga caters for small, medium and large conferences with a fully equipped conference room that can accommodate up to 75 delegates comfortably.
Conference packages are available on request.
