Motswiri Private Safari Lodge lies hidden in the bush, an exclusive lodge offering a maximum of 10 guests an experience which is impossible to replicate in larger concerns. Our lodge offers some of the best views in Madikwe as well as the feeling of tranquility given by the mature trees (mostly leadwoods) under which the main building and 5 luxury bush villas nestle. An intimate and homely setting offering complete privacy.
The exquisitely appointed main lodge overlooks a waterhole frequented by elephant families and other big game. Motswiri offers the option of either individual bookings or exclusive use of the lodge.
The lodge is ideal for corporate, family/friend groups of up to 10 who do not wish to share the facilities with outsiders. Itineraries & daily events can be tailored to meet your or your group’s specific needs. Special arrangements can be made for up to 8 guests to be accommodated in separate rooms should this be more acceptable for corporate groups.
Motswiri offers true, 5 star accommodation with each bush villa offering stunning views from private decks and multiple-slider doors form the bedrooms and bathrooms.
Add double-sided fireplaces, air conditioning/ceiling fans stunning bathrooms and an outdoor shower and you will have a bush experience second to none.
Enjoy the rim-flow pool overlooking the waterhole, have a cocktail under the Motswiri trees (Leadwood’s in Tswana) on the main deck or just while away the day in the outside lounge and bar area occasionally mustering up the energy to view the game at the watering hole. Fine cuisine served in the dining room, under the Leadwood’s or around a roaring fire in the boma, washed down with fine wines from our well stocked cellar ends each spectacular day.
Our staff offer personal service in a relaxed but professional manner and the twice daily game drives are conducted by the highly trained and experienced lodge manager whose superb knowledge is imparted in the manner best suited to the familiarity of the guests to the bush, on specially designed land cruiser game viewing vehicles affording you close encounters.
Madikwe Game Reserve is MALARIA FREE and offers 75000 hectares of prime Game Viewing including Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, and Rhino.
As well as the Big Five Madikwe offers fantastic opportunities to view the rare and endangered Wild Dog, which is a mega "tick" on any game viewers list.
There is also extensive plains game and over 340 species of birds to attract your attention.
Rise to the African dawn and join your morning game drive with your professional ranger who will show you the wonders of the bush including the thrill of search for the big 7, birdlife and the lovely terrain.
Our rangers are all very well trained and have a deep passion for the bush. Their in-depth knowledge will entertain and delight you. Coffee and teas served at a point chosen during the drive, arriving back at the lodge for a sumptuous Brunch the day is yours to spend as you please with a book by the waterhole, swimming in the pool, or snoozing on your private veranda. You choose.
Tea will be served before the dusk game drive where you will again experience the bush by sunset. This will set you up for your dinner, with shared stories of your day before it is time to dream of what’s to come tomorrow.

PAYMENT: |
A deposit of 50% of the total accommodation charge is required for direct bookings. Retail Agents and Tour Operators are to prepay, unless otherwise arranged. There is a 5% surcharge on credit card payments for commissionable bookings. Extras may be settled in camp. We accept all credit cards. |
CANCELLATIONS: |
Our cancellation policy is as follows: Four weeks before arrival - 50% of full amount. Two weeks before arrival - 75% of full amount One week or less - 100% of full amount |
ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE: |
Guests may arrive any time from 12:00 am, and rooms are to be vacated by 11:00am. |
