The Cascades Hotel forms part of the Sun City Resort.
The Sun City Resort is set in the stark ruggedness of the North West
Region of South Africa, and is surrounded by mountains and the untamed
majesty of the African bushveld. It is a wedge-shot away from the
Pilanesberg National Park, where elephants, rhinos, lions and antelope

The Cascades has a total of 243 rooms and offers a wide choice of rooms
and suites. The Garden Suite is an idyllic private enclave with its own
swimming pool and jacuzzi in a secluded terrace.
The luxury rooms at the Cascades Hotel get superior treatment and each
room will have the added distinction of having their own dressing room
with built in dressing table, cupboards and shoe racks. The bathrooms
will have double vanity units and be somewhat larger than the standard
bathrooms.
Sun City has two incredible world-class golf courses set
against the rugged backdrop of the Pilansberg Mountains. Sun City's two,
par-72 championship golf courses offer visitors to Southern Africa's premier
resort an exciting and challenging golf experience. The exotic allure of
the Lost City Golf Course and the championship nature of the Gary Player
Country Club test the grit of many a fine golfer. Both courses were designed
by South African golf legend, Gary Player.
Sun City offers a splendid range of indoor and outdoor
wedding venues, ranging from a boma in the bushveld to the delightful
Wind Chime Chapel, which is situated with a dramatic mountain backdrop,
adjacent to The Palace of The Lost City.
Throughout the world, gaming has become a fashionable and
acceptable form of entertainment.
You may try your luck at, American Roulette, Blackjack, Stud Poker and Punto
Banco. The concepts behind these games are very simple and once grasped, open
up new dimensions of excitement and entertainment.
Also available on the Resort are tennis, squash, water skiing,
jet skiing, horse riding and a host of other activities.
Located in the adjacent Letsatsing Game Reserve is the Outdoor
Adventure Centre, offering activities as diverse as quad-biking, clay pigeon
shooting and archery.
The nearby Pilanesberg Game Reserve, host to Africa’s
big five, can be visited, either on a “self drive” basis or by
taking a scheduled or private game drive in the Reserve. The Valley of Waves,
which legend declares is the original "Valley of the Sun", is the
master of recreational water-parks in the world - A pleasure Kingdom for
thrill seekers.

There are Welcome Center Guest Service Officers to assist and outline the
services available at the resort, including entertainment in the Valley of
Waves and any special promotions. Arriving guests are transported by courtesy
shuttles directly to their hotels.
There is an information counter with staff in attendance
that will be happy to answer questions about Sun City as well as make restaurant
bookings. The Welcome Center has been designed with disabled visitors in
mind, and there are ramps for wheelchair guests. Parking for disabled persons
is available across the complex at each hotel.
