The most relaxed and casual of all Sun City's hotels, the
Sun City Cabanas opens onto lush gardens leading down to the lake and Waterworld.
Sun City Cabanas forms part of the Sun City Resort. The Sun City Resort is
set in the stark ruggedness of the North West Region of South Africa, and
is surrounded by mountains and the untamed majesty of the African bushveld.
It is a wedge-shot away from the Pilanesberg National Park, where elephants,
rhinos, lions and antelope roam freely.
As the name implies, this is where the Sun City welcome
begins for both day visitors and guests arriving by bus, car and air.
The Sun City Cabanas has a total of 380 rooms. The Sun City Cabanas are
built on two levels with rooms on the ground floor and first floors. The
rooms are located in seven "blocks" situated around the main reception
and restaurant area. Family Cabanas at the Cabanas can accommodate a maximum
of two adults and two children (the combined age of the children should not
exceed 18 years and will be accommodated on a sleeper sofa.
Sun City has two incredible world-class golf courses set
against the rugged backdrop of the Pilanesberg Mountains. Sun City's two,
par-72 championship golf courses offer visitors to Southern Africa's premier
resort an exciting and challenging golf experience. The exotic allure of
the Lost City Golf Course and the championship nature of the Gary Player
Country Club test the grit of many a fine golfer. Both courses were designed
by South African golf legend, Gary Player.
Located at the Gary Player Country Club. This ultra luxurious
health spa, is the perfect setting to relax and enjoy a wide range of treatments.
Sun City offers a splendid range of indoor and outdoor wedding venues,
ranging from a boma in the bushveld to the delightful Wind Chime Chapel,
which is situated with a dramatic mountain backdrop, adjacent to The Palace
of The Lost City.
Throughout the world, gaming has become a fashionable and
acceptable form of entertainment.
You may try your luck at, American Roulette, Blackjack,
Stud Poker and Punto Banco. The concepts behind these games are very simple
and once grasped, open up new dimensions of excitement and entertainment.
Located in the adjacent Letsatsing Game Reserve is the Outdoor Adventure
Centre, offering activities as diverse as quad-biking, clay pigeon shooting
and archery.
Also available on the Resort are tennis, squash, water skiing,
jet skiing, horse riding and a host of other activities.
The nearby Pilanesberg Game Reserve, host to Africa’s big five, can
be visited, either on a “self drive” basis or by taking a scheduled
or private game drive in the Reserve. The Valley of Waves, which legend declares
is the original "Valley of the Sun", is the master of recreational
water-parks in the world - A pleasure Kingdom for thrill seekers.
Experience a breathtaking hot air balloon trip across the
Pilanesberg – all booked through our helpful and knowledgeable concierge
team. Guests of Sun City can enjoy personalized game viewing with our many
experience tour guides.
The Jogging trails are all very scenic and well marked according
to distance and direction. Join us on one of our daily Palace tours, for
all you ever wanted to know about the history of The Palace of the Lost City.
There are Welcome Centre Guest Service Officers to assist and outline the
services available at the resort, including entertainment in the Valley of
Waves and any special promotions. Arriving guests are transported by courtesy
shuttles directly to their hotels.
There is an information counter with staff in attendance
that will be happy to answer questions about Sun City as well as make restaurant
bookings. The Welcome Centre has been designed with disabled visitors in
mind, and there are ramps for wheelchair guests. Parking for disabled persons
is available across the complex at each hotel.
