The Daisy Country Lodge is a tranquil place, situated outside of Springbok on the farm Biesjesfontein where a million jewels fill the sky every night. You can relax after a full day of activity and even your pet is welcome.
We are only one hours drive from the Namibian border and nearly half way between Cape Town, RSA and Windhoek, Namibia.
We offer horse trails and lots of other activities to take part in, come and experience the hospitality of the friendly people of Namaqualand.
This picturesque establishment is wheelchair friendly. Namaqualand is known for its spring flowers, rare succulents, unique indigenous plants, rich history, hospitality, unreal rock formations and the Richtersveld.
Pearly and Lara’s Rooms
Where did the name originate?
Pearly is a 21-year-old Friesian cross. She is not used in the horse trails anymore but is an old reliable friend in the riding school.
She does, however not hesitate to use her tail on the kids when they annoy her. Pearly currently resides with her lifelong friend and companion Lara on a neighboring farm 5km from Daisy.

Lara’s Room
Where did the name originate?
Lara is a 32 year old registered full blood Arab and is definitely a prima donna in the world of horses. All the kids that are horseman were taught on Lara. She was, however, officially retired two years ago. On the 29th of August each year, all the junior riders celebrate her birthday. Lara currently enjoys retirement with her lifelong friend and companion, Pearly, on a neighboring farm 5km from Daisy.

Zezi’s Room
Where did the name originate?
Zezi is a full blood unregistered Arab and is one of the reliable friends in both the riding school and the trail rides. She stands out in all the classes of eventing. You will also often see her and David, her owner, without saddle or bridle in the Koppies exploring a new trail. Zezi moved with the riding school in late 2006 to a farm 5 km from Daisy.

Bella’s Room
Where did the name originate?
Bella is a beautiful white Arab crossing and although she is small of frame, she has the courage of a giant. She is always ready to explore a new terrain and shows it clearly if she is not taken along on one or another outride.
You will currently find Bella in the big camp at the southeastern side of Daisy.

Ruben’s Suite, Merlyn’s Room and Rommel’s Cottage
Where did the name originate?
Ruben is a beautiful Appaloosa who was rescued out of terrible conditions. Because of his huge frame, we originally planned to use him for trail rides. He was, however, abused so badly that we never succeeded to rehabilitate him from not fearing humans, especially men.
He is currently a companion of a stud stallion on a neighboring farm.
The Ruben Suite was originally the stable of the first two horses at Daisy. This room is Daisy's non-official Honeymoon suite and our pride and joy.

Merlyn’s Room
Where did the name originate?
Merlyn is a Friesian cross, which was rescued on the Cape Flats, where he was used as a carthorse. He is a real gentle giant and a reliable friend in both the riding school as well as the trail rides. Merlyn moved with the riding school in late 2006 to a bigger farm 5km from Daisy.

Rommel’s Cottage
Where did the name originate?
Rommel was the first horse to set foot on the farm and is the owner's "boerperd" (origin unknown). The Rommels cottage being the first unit with which the lodge was started in 2004 was therefore, appropriately named.
Rommel is an old reliable friend in the trail rides and with his huge frame and sure-footed pace/tread, safely carries the biggest of men. You can currently find Rommel in the big camp on the southeastern outskirts of Daisy.

Dinners are served on request. Bookings are essential before 14h00 on the same day. Dinners consist of a 3 course home cooked. We also have two traditional menus for groups.
We offer our guests a variety of facilities to use. There is a splash pool to cool of in the heat of summer, there are "braai" facilities and safe parking and your pets are welcome. In the town of Springbok, you will find all major shops and banks.

The horse riding school moved to a farm 5 km from Daisy during August 2006. Horse riding lessons and trails are no longer offered ON PREMISES BUT WE CAN ARRANGE IT by either bringing the horses to Daisy or driving the clients out to the other farm.
Directions
• From Cape Town:
If you are traveling on the N7, you have to take the first
turn-off to your left towards Springbok.
As you travel to Springbok, you will find the Springbok Oval track
on your left. At the turn-off towards the Oval track, you must turn left as well.
You will drive past the Oval track and the first turn-of on your left, that is the
turn-of to Daisy Country Lodge.
Just continue down the road until you reach the Daisy Country Lodge.
• From Kakamas, Upington & Johannesburg:
You will reach Springbok by driving on the N14. You must just
continue straight on down Voortrekker Street (the main road of Springbok)
until you exit the town. You must drive 1 km until you find the Springbok Oval track
on your right. At the turn-off towards the Oval track, you must turn right as well.
You will drive past the Oval track and the first turn-off on your left that is the turn-of
to Daisy Country Lodge.
Just continue down the road until you reach the Daisy Country Lodge.
• From Namibia:
You will travel on the N7 towards Cape Town. You will see a few
turn-offs towards Springbok. You must drive past the town until you
get to the last turn-off to Springbok.
Turn right towards Springbok.
As you travel to Springbok, you will find the Springbok Oval track
on your left. At the turn-off towards the Oval track, you must turn left as well.
You will drive past the Oval track and the first turn-of on your left that is the turn-off to Daisy Country Lodge.
Just continue down the road until you reach the Daisy Country Lodge.
