Leriba Golf Lodge is tucked away in dense indigenous forest on the famous Hans Merensky Golf Estate, Phalaborwa, South Africa. The Kruger National Park, one of Africa’s largest game reserves, forms the Eastern boundary of the Estate. From here it is easy to explore the wonders and scenery of the Mpumulanga and Limpopo Provinces.

Leriba Golf Lodge is located on the 5th fairway of the championship golf course where crocodile, hippo and other game add spice to your golfing experience.

This challenging Championship golf course, designed by the legendary Bob Grimsdell, extends into indigenous bush where elephant, giraffe and a wide variety of antelope and bird life form a part of your golf game. Leriba Golf Suites are located on the 5th fairway of the championship golf course where crocodile, hippo and other game add spice to your golfing experience

The self catering lodge consists of five luxury, air conditioned en suite bedrooms each with separate shower and bath, television [full satellite] and mini bar, a large lounge and dining area, modern kitchen as well as a pool with covered braai area.

The lodge is decorated in an elegant East African Style that offers the discerning guest, sport enthusiast and nature lover a unique African experience.

The elegant Hans Merensky hotel, on the estate, offers an oasis for leisure and business guests with a wide variety of facilities such as the Leadwood a la carte restaurant, the Pool Bar, hair salon, curio shop, pro shop, conference facilities and the Golf Clubhouse with an unsurpassed view of the 9 th and 18 th holes.

The hotel boasts a large swimming pool and offers a wide variety of sport facilities such as tennis, squash and a gymnasium with sauna.

For the more adventurous, the large Cleveland Game Park is open exclusively to hotel- and Leriba Golf Suites guests. The Kruger National Park, one of Africa 's largest game reserves, forms the Eastern boundary of the Estate. Phalaborwa offers a vast range of opportunities to view wildlife up close and personal by means of safaris, wilderness walking trails and river safaris.

A variety of Tours and Safaris are on offer such as the Kruger National Park morning and full day trips, as well as their renowned Night Drives [when the big cats hunt River cruises, micro-light flying, hot air ballooning, helicopter flights, quad bikes, bush walks in the Kruger Park and 4x4 game drives in private game reserves, are not to be missed adventures.

Other tours on offer include the Olifants River Safari Cruise, The Panorama/Blyde Canyon Tour, Cultural/Taxi Shebeen Tours, Tzaneen day trips, Hoedspruit and surrounds half-day trips and the ever-popular Elephant Back Safaris.

The Modjadji Cycad Reserve, home to Mojadji, the Rain Queen, is in close proximity and so too is Thohoyandou, capitol of the Venda region, the land of the legend with sacred lakes and baobab trees. The picturesque town of Haenertsburg, that was established in 1887 as a gold rush community, lies in the foothills of the majestic Drakensberg.

Other places of interest include Tzaneen, the center of the Letaba district, also referred to as the winter fruit basket of the Limpopo Province, Magoebaskloof, with it's spectacular scenery of mountains and waterfalls and Pilgrim's Rest, which is home to the living museum that reflects the gold rush of the 1880's. The discerning traveler can also visit Potgietersrus [Mokopane], named after Piet Potgieter, the voortrekker killed in the siege of the Makapansgat Caves,

The African Ivory Route, which has it's origins in the exploits of early ivory hunters, The Timbavati Game Reserve with it's famous white lions and Bourke's Luck Potholes, named after Tom Bourke who discovered gold in the area. Gods Window, on the edge of the escarpment, offers magnificent views across the Blyde River Canyon, Sabi and Graskop area. Sabi Sand Game Reserve, The Klaserie Game Reserve, The Kapama Cheetah Breeding Project and the Amarula Lapa will provide you with an exceptional travel experience.
