- Kruger Park - Limpopo/Northern Province - Life Skills Course Programme -

The WARRIORS programme is a challenging seven months programme designed for young adults (male & female) who need to find direction and purpose. The WARRIORS programme is ideally suited for school leavers as a foundation for entering life as an adult. During the seven months the programme focus on Self Actualisation, Social skills development, Adventure, Eco-tourism and Entrepreneurship

The holistic, participatory approach and combination of learning and action make it an ideal way for students to embark on a meaningful path of shaping their lives and those of others.

The objectives of the WARRIORS programme are to create a safe and structured environment where love, compassion, splendid virtue, high endeavour, sublime wisdom and a passion for life exist, where participants are free to discover, explore and develop their own magnificence.


The individual is empowered, with freedom to choose and to focus on what is important and experiencing his/her magnificence. The above objectives are being achieved by exposing the individual to various experiences through participation in a range of activities as listed.

The Base camp is situated in the beautiful Magoebaskloof Area in the Limpopo Province. By the end of the programme the participant will be equipped to take responsibility for his/her own destiny by making decisions based on a variety of experiences and knowledge gained during the programme.

Dolphin experience (Ponta d'Ouro, Southern Mozambique)

We prides ourselves in giving students an intimate experience with nature, allowing them to come face to face with wild bottlenose dolphins on their terms - no pools, no trainers, no feeding - just you and the dolphins in the big blue.

Sexuality

Course outline:

Understanding human sexuality, Attitudes and values, Cultural influences on sex and sexuality, Sexual Biology, Contraception and teenage pregnancy, Reproductive health, Self esteem and decision makings, Sex and sexuality, Gender Role development, Human growth and development, Making relationships work, Sexual Abuse.

Sailing & Scuba Diving

Presented by one of South Africa's recognized Sailing Institutions who will issue a certificate of competence to the students after completion of the courses.


Water sport/ Kayaking/Extreme Water Tubing

Divided into small groups, students will learn the essentials of boat handling, launching and signals. Each will have the opportunity to experience tubing and water-skiing behind a boat.

A course presented by professional kayak instructors will introduce the students to the basic skills of safely navigating a kayak in average weather conditions.

Extreme white water tubing on the highly rated white water rafting on a good old black tube. (This is the most extreme tubing in South Africa)

Horsemanship

Presented by an established riding school in Magoebaskloof who has been in operation for the past 11 years. The school offers horse trails for both the novice and experience rider. Their horses are extremely well schooled and have loving and gentle temperaments. A specially designed riding clinic for the students of the WARRIOR Programme - offers the following:

Basic Horse Riding Skills, Stable Management, Grooming. An outride programmed with each lesson.

Extreme Adventure Challengers

Kloofing in a deep gorge with pool crawling, bum sliding, waterfalls and holes ending at the bottom of the largest tourist waterfall in Mpumalanga as part of the course
Waterfall abseil of 40 m on Wet or Dry surfaces, subject to weather conditions.
Bridge Swing of an ultra smooth 80m experience
Candle light caving (or is it crawling) in the extreme and muddy chambers of caves, at the Lone Creek and Brisbon waterfalls
