Eugene and Alta Heyns offer old-fashioned hospitality on the farm Tienfontein on the road between Cape Town/ East London and the North. Tienfontein B&B is a four star graded establishment.

Tienfontein is situated 12 km from Zastron on the R26 main road to Rouxville and East London/ Port Elizabeth and only 500 meters from the main road. The farm lies in a Free State valley, wide and peaceful; with sandstone hills and soft blue mountains.

Right at the back of the "koppie" where nomadic bands of Bushmen used to dwell in olden days. They've left their telltale signs behind for you to find.

The old fashioned atmosphere is the first thing that will strike you when you enter the restored cottage. "Die Ou Huisie" is where you'll stay. It's a quaint sandstone cottage, built in about 1880. It withstood the ravages of the Anglo Boer War and even survived an attempt to set it alight during those turbulent times.

The exquisite Africana furniture, the large yellowwood dining room table, the yellowwood ceiling and beams. There are four cosy bedrooms, which can accommodate seven people in all.

There are two separate bathrooms with hot water and the kitchen is self-contained for your convenience. The cottage is fully equipped with bed linen, cutlery, crockery and towels. We offer dinner, bed and breakfast or self-catering

The pool area is a sunny tranquil place in a beautiful garden with many birds to see. Discover what fresh air is really like and wait for the nighttime sky to see stars like sparkling crystals.

This is the place to relax after a long and exhausting drive!
