Once the homestead of the Wicht family, the gabled villa has been restored
and now offers 16 deluxe en suite rooms and 16 luxury, semi self catering suites
at very reasonable rates.
The rooms offer panoramic views of the ocean which is no more than fifty paces
away.
For more independent voyagers, there are also 15 fully equipped
private cottages with large, spacious lounges ranging in size, all within
a stone’s throw away from the Lodge. From most cottages you can enjoy
panoramic views of the Saldanha lagoon. The cottages are tastefully furnished
and would make anyone feel right ate home. We offer anything from one to
three bedrooms. All kitchens are fully equipped, bedrooms are light and airy
and every cottage is equipped with a braai area and TV.
The atmosphere here is one of peaceful isolation and sandy
footprints are reminders that you are at home in the beautiful landscape,
free from the hustle and bustle of city life.
An a la carte breakfast is included in the daily rate, but
guests can linger to enjoy lunch or dinner overlooking twinkling harbour
lights on the patio or in the Lodge’s tastefully decorated restaurant.
It overlooks a white, sandy beach less than 30 meters away. The restaurant’s
find nouvelle cuisine from an a la carte menu features fresh seafood, home
baked breads and wines from a well stocked cellar.
Blue Bay Lodge has rapidly gained a reputation as the most popular conference
facility and team building centre on the West Coast. The three conference venues,
fully equipped with the most up to date audio/visual equipment, can accommodate
as many as 200 delegates. Conference packages can also be tailored to meet
each individual client’s needs.

Resort Conference Hall:
Conveniently situated next to a pool with an exclusive braai
area and garden. Ideally suited for weddings, corporate functions and other
celebrations.
Resort Conference Room:
Adjacent to the Hall, this room is soundproof and ideal
for break away sessions which can seat up to 80 delegates.
All venues have standard conference equipment, individual
lighting, plug points and heater facilities. Printing and photocopying, faxing,
e mail and internet facilities available on request.
In conjunction with team building companies such as 180
Degree Adventures, Blue Bay Lodge aims to affect positive and lasting changes
in the workplace by using creative and focussed programmes.
