The 3 fully equipped self-catering gold-mining style cottages are identical in layout. Each cottage offers accommodation for a maximum of 5 persons. Forest Edge, with its little extras and personal touches, offers a memorable and affordable break-away holiday experience to remember.
The cottages are aptly named Fire Fly, Froggy Pond and Field Mouse.
The shaded veranda has a table and chairs and overlooks the private barbeque area, with a grid. Fire wood is provided in a large chest.
As you open the front door, you will be charmed by:

Forest Edge is 20 minutes' leisurely scenic drive from Knysna, up into the mountains & forest. Close enough to enjoy all amenities and far enough to avoid the crowds, traffic noise and congestion.
From the N2 between Sedgefield & Knysna: About 1.5km west of the Knysna lagoon bridge, turn north onto the Rheenendal road. After 11.5km, just past the Rheenendal Petrol Station, turn right at the Bibby's Hoek sign. Follow the dirt road for 2.2km. Turn left at the intersection and continue for 1.5km. Forest Edge is the last property on this road: tranquility at its best!
The dirt roads are quite passable even by small cars - if you have a very low/sports car or if you are especially concerned....... please enquire.
