Situated in Cape Town's exciting Sea Point, Huijs Haerlem
is an owner managed guest house offering bed and breakfast accommodation. This
gracious home is the perfect location from which to explore the cape town area,
the world famous beaches and the nearby cape winelands.
The stars seem closer here, high above Sea Point and the Atlantic
Ocean, with not much to interrupt your views of Signal Hill, Nelson Mandela's
former prison - Robben Island and Bloubergstrand. The spacious gardens and
the pool terrace are perfect spots for enjoying breathtaking sunsets.
Huijs Haerlem is ideally situated - within walking distance
of the bustling boulevard, 3km away from the V&A Waterfront and Cape
Town City Center and only 10 minutes drive from the famous beaches of Clifton
and Camps Bay. Although attractions like Kirstenbosch, art galleries, museums,
Cape Point, etc., are all nearby, many guests are tempted to remain and
relax by the solar heated pool, to soak up the sunshine in the peace and
tranquility.
Your hosts are there for your well being. Take benefit from
their love and knowledge of Cape Town surroundings. For those traveling "bonnefooi" (Dutch
for unplanned): we have stayed at a great many of the guest houses, hotels
and game lodges in the country: including along the Garden Route and near
the Kruger Park, and can give firsthand personal advice about accommodation
and the most scenic routes in South Africa. We will gladly assist with
travel and touring arrangements.
The bedrooms of our guest house are more than comfortable
and offer the weary traveler all contemporary comforts, with views of the Atlantic
Seaboard or Table Mountain, private balconies or terraces. The bathrooms are
all en suite, and the bedrooms are equipped with TV/M-Net, telephones, radio,
punkah fans for a cool breeze in summer, heating to keep the winter cold at
bay and tea/coffee making facilities.

Email: and fax facilities are available in a central study.
Comfort and peace are the keynote for the whole establishment.
Huijs Haerlem exudes a warm atmosphere: one lounge is furnished with exquisite
Danish antique furniture, whilst the second lounge displays the South African
Vernacular. Depending on the weather, sumptuous and leisurely breakfasts are
served either on the pool terrace, the east facing verandah, or the dinning
room.
