Knysna - Western Cape -

Come and enjoy the sights and sounds of Knysna's world renowned lagoon from Leisure Isle Lodge, positioned on the picturesque shores of Bollard Bay on Leisure Island. The appeal of Leisure Isle Lodge lies in its convenient location - only minutes from central Knysna, yet far enough afield to afford guests a little peace and tranquility.

It is here that you can rest up and enjoy true hospitality during your well deserved vacation. Wake up to an orchestra of exotic birds, the slow and steady roll of waves and our excellent full English breakfast, served in the breakfast room overlooking the lagoon.

Come along and make yourself at home in one of the spacious suites with lagoon views or twin-bedded en-suite rooms looking onto the heated swimming pool and beautiful garden, all with DSTV and coffee / tea making facilities.

Suites and twin-bedded rooms with TV (M-Net and DSTV), coffee & tea making facilities,
hair dryers, and under floor heating. Suites with king-size extra length beds and direct line telephones overlook the lagoon. Twin bedded rooms face the heated swimming pool and beautiful garden with braai patio. One lagoon facing room with twin beds is especially equipped for the disabled.
Beautiful guest lounge with open fireplace.Hospitality bar and lounge, all with wonderful views of the lagoon. Solarium overlooking the pool.

After a hearty breakfast you can look forward to all that Leisure Island has to offer - you could take a stroll around the island, perhaps cast a rod onto the waters of the lagoon, or enjoy a leisurely early morning swim in one of many little bays or beaches close to the lodge.

For those who prefer a warmer and more luxurious experience, our heated swimming pool is a winner, come rain or shine. And for the more energetic, there are bicycles, wind-surfers and paddle skis available.
The Island also boasts the most unique 'sea level' vistas of the famous Knysna Heads, Outeniqua mountain range and the evergreen Featherbed Nature Reserve.

As far as activities further afield go, Knysna is famous for its 'village' atmosphere - there is so much to see and do! Spend the day exploring the art routes with galleries, shops, arts & crafts, bistros, golf courses, game parks, restaurants and pubs. Remember, no visit to Knysna is complete without savouring a walk or drive in the indigenous forests.
