Somerset West - Western Cape

Die Ou Pastorie has been chosen as the setting for countless stately occasions, and our expansive gardens have played witness to many memorable wedding celebrations too. Function guests can look forward to a right royal reception.

The stately homestead offers much to revive the traveller. Cosy nooks for catching up on your reading, a heartening fireplace, the intimate bar…

It gives us great pleasure to restore our guests - body, mind and soul.

The spirit of the Victorian era lives on… in 8 large Classic Rooms, the spacious Suite, and the 7

De Luxe Rooms. Each suite or room has a balcony with either a view of the mountain or leading out into the formal herb garden. Choose your accommodation in one of two restored buildings, each a welcoming haven in a serene garden setting.

In 1819 as the local parsonage, the restored grand residence today draws a clientele with more earthly pursuits at heart. Golf, for instance. World-class golf estates and courses around Somerset West and throughout the Western Cape entice the international golfing fraternity to our doorstep.

But golf tournaments, league challenges and wonderful Cape wines are just a few of the drawcards.

Other tempting attractions await you. Like our acclaimed accommodation facilities and our award-winning restaurant. Our à la carte restaurant has received a number of industry awards, and lavish praise from the most respected critics - our loyal, devoted diners themselves.

The wide choice of championship golf courses and golf estates around our town has made Die Ou Pastorie a favourite with golfers who need a base from which to explore the many golfing opportunities of the Cape. It is our privilege to offer guests the advantage of our corporate membership at Erinvale, where they can play at a reduced green fee.

The beach is a pebble's throw from here, and the pleasures of the Winelands beckon close by.
