Periwinkle is a beachfront Guest House offering panoramic views where you can watch the whales & dolphins frolicking in the waves whilst enjoying a scrumptious breakfast.

Periwinkle is situated on Beachyhead Drive, overlooking Robberg Peninsula, the Tsisikamma Mountains and with direct access to Robberg Beach. We are perfectly
situated for leisurely walks or lazy days spent on the beach or a small exclusive conference venue.

All the rooms are individually decorated in bright, happy colors, which reflect the surrounding sea and mountains. Whale & Dolphin Discovery Cruises are a highlight or you can watch from your balcony or over breakfast.

Six of the seven rooms have private balconies where guests can enjoy the panoramic view from the Robberg Peninsula to the right and the Tsitsikamma Mountains to the left.

Most Rooms are twin bedded but can be made up into King size beds on request. All rooms are en-suite and have TV's, direct dial telephones, personalized linen, heated towel rails, tea coffee facilities and Bar fridges.

Nearby Facilities include:

Go for a 2 or 4 hour walk on the Robberg Peninsula for an unforgettable experience.
Kranshoek, Natures Valley & Tsisikamma National Park are all in close proximity for keen hikers.

Oyster tasting, elephant viewing, cruises to the Heads & Featherbed Nature Reserve as well as a journey on the Steam Train all make for interesting day trips.

The unique and most exciting feature of this area is the abundance in marine mammals in the bay which is flanked by two marine nature reserves and therefore rich in food for the resident whales and dolphins.

For golfing enthusiasts, Plett offers 2 superb courses and we are in close proximity to Knysna & George - both towns offering world class courses.

During July to September every year, Southern Right Whales migrate to this part of the Indian Ocean to calve. There are organized boat trips all year round to see Brydes whales and dolphins. Huge schools of dolphin surfing the breakers or leaping clear of the blue sea, are a regular sight throughout the year.

Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary offers visitors safaris conducted by experienced rangers where you can expect to see many species of monkeys as well as a large variety of forest dwelling birds.
After soaking up the splendor of a living forest, you can relax on the sunny deck of the restaurant while enjoying a meal or a cocktail.

Equitrailing specializes in horse trails through pristine indigenous forests and can incorporate biking, canoeing, abseiling and hiking. The Garden Route is home to some of the most extraordinary mountain biking in the country as well as bungi jumping at the Bloukrantz Bridge .

Come and stay with us in comfortable, tastefully decorated en-suite accommodation that offers you every luxury.

A unique experience!
