The southern-most country on the African
continent has a coastline that stretches for 3000 km from the border of Mozambique
in the east, to Namibia in the south west. South Africa has a superb system of
national parks, game reserves and nature reserves. Protection of the numerous
species of wildlife is excellent, and one may see lion, leopard, elephant, white
and black rhino, buffalo, giraffe, many species of antelopes, and smaller predators
in easily accessible reserves throughout the country.
This is a versatile and interesting
itinerary for the outdoor / nature and wildlife orientated traveler. We stay in
rest camps, tented camps, chalets, lodges and hotels in scenic surroundings.

| Day 1: Johannesburg
Day at leisure in Johannesburg. We
are met by our guide at the reception of the hotel at 19h00. Randburg Towers or
similar. (Breakfast only)

| Day 2 / 3: Kruger National Park
We travel to this famous wildlife
sanctuary, the oldest in Africa. During game drives we observe zebra, giraffe,
buffalo, lion, elephant etc. Rest camps / guesthouse or similar. (Breakfast and
dinner)

Day 4 / 5: Mkuze Game Reserve - Zululand
From special hides we have the opportunity
to see a wealth of game such as black and white rhino, giraffe, nyala, kudu, wildebeest,
suni etc. The Nsumo Pan has numerous waterbirds. Rest camp or similar. (Breakfast
and dinner)

| Day 6: Golden Gate National Park - Drakensberg
Massive golden sandstone cliffs tower
over a grassy plateau forming an impressive sight when entering this park nestled
among the Drakensberg Mountains. Rest camp / chalets. (Breakfast and dinner)

Day 7: Lesotho
We cross the border into the Kingdom
of Lesotho driving through picturesque mountain scenery and experiencing the unique
tribal life of the area. Malealea Lodge or similar. (Breakfast and dinner)

| Day 8: Mountain Zebra National Park
With its rocky outcrops and mountainous
heights, this park is home to about 200 unique orange muzzled Cape Mountain Zebra,
along with a variety of antelope such as eland, blessbok, springbok etc. The largest
predator here is the elusive caracal. Chalet / rest camp. (Breakfast and dinner)

| Day 9 /10: Oudtshoorn - Knysna - The Garden Route
We visit an Ostrich Farm with an authentic
"Feather Palace" and explore the Cango Caves, which are amongst the
most spectacular caves in the world consisting of a fantastic collection of stalactites
and stalagmites. Fairy Knowe Hotel ***. (Breakfast and dinner)

| Day 11 / 12: Wine Route - Stellenbosch or Paarl
Our day includes tasting wines at
a wine estate and visiting the historic town of Stellenbosch and the beautiful
Franschhoek Valley. Devon Valley Hotel *** or similar. (Breakfast and dinner)

Day 13 / 14: Cape Town
The mother city lies in a most spectacular
setting between Table Mountain and Table Bay. We take a cable car up Table Mountain,
one of the most well known landmarks in the world (weather permitting). Cape Manor
Hotel *** or similar. (Breakfast)

| Day 15: Cape Town
Transfer to the airport after a memorable
tour of South Africa. (Breakfast only). Only one airport transfer is provided.
Private transfers can be arranged at an additional cost.

The itinerary will depend on local conditions and may operate
in the reverse direction.
