Day 1
Drive from Johannesburg via Dullstroom and Lydenburg to Pilgrims
Rest. View the highlights of the Panorama Route including God's
Window, the Blyde River Canyon and the 3 Rondavels. At our overnight
stop in a private game reserve; look out for some of the many
birds and game species including leopard, rhino, giraffe, hyena
and numerous antelope. Dine in an open boma and then enjoy a nightcap
listening to the sounds of the African night.
Day 2
We start the day with an early morning 'Bush Walk'. Our guide
will identify animal spoor and share other fascinating secrets
of the bush before returning to the camp for breakfast.
During the midday heat we relax and have a siesta
before going on an afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle
to see some of the numerous antelope species, giraffe, zebra and
possibly some of the predators, rhino and elephant, capped by
sundowners in the bush.
Day 3
After breakfast, we leave the private game reserve to explore
the game-rich central Kruger National Park. Renowned for large
herds of giraffe, zebra and antelope, the open plains around Satara
boast the highest concentration of lion in Africa and afford the
best game viewing in the entire Kruger Park.
On the way, time permitting, we visit the Moholoholo
Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre where you have the opportunity
to view some of the animals at close quarters and learn about
the problems they face in returning to the wild. Alternatively,
we may go straight into the Kruger and spend the day searching
for those animals and birds we have not already seen.
The night is spent at Satara or one of the other
camps in the central Kruger National Park area.

Day 4
Again, we have an early morning game drive with
a brunch at one of the camps or picnic spots. This is followed
by a midday siesta back at camp. A last afternoon game drive gives
us another chance to see some of the rarer species of game that
inhabit the park. Savour an unforgettable 'Bush Barbeque' in unspoilt
Africa.

Day 5
To day, we leave the Kruger and travel via the
tropical fertile valleys of Tzaneen towards the spectacular scenery
and tea plantations of Magoebaskloof. We drive via Pietersburg
and Pretoria to arrive in Johannesburg around 17h00. Airport drop-offs
by arrangement.
