Spiral Horn Tours and Safaris conducts tours to all eco
tourism areas such as the Kruger National Park, Kalahari Gemsbok National
Park, and Hluhluwe & Umfolozi Game Reserves in Kwa Zulu Natal.
Spiral Horn conducts tours on a national basis including
Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Garden Route, Namaqualand, Durban, Swaziland,
North West Province, Johannesburg and Pretoria. Tailor made tours suited
to specific needs are also done on a regular basis!
The company also conducts tours to the following countries:
BOTSWANA: Beyond the narrow eastern corridor where
the majority of population is concentrated, Botswana is a largely road
less wilderness of savannas, deserts, wetlands and saltpans. The Okavango
Delta and Moremi Game Reserve is a succession of islands and lagoons,
open grasslands and flooded plains in a mosaic of land and water. Palms
and towering trees abound, throwing their shade over crystal pools, forest
glades and grassy knolls
Chobe in Botswana is well known for its lush forests and
huge herds of elephants. Savuti lies within Chobe National Park and is famous
for its lions, hyena and large herds of game. The great plains of Makgadikgadi
Pans are scenically stunning. At certain times of the year, enormous flocks
of flamingos, pelicans and innumerable ducks congregate in a myriad of colors
on the lakes. The most mystical call of Africa is the cry of the fish eagle,
a call that will haunt your soul, and bring you back to Africa.
NAMIBIA : Wedged between the Kalahari and the chilly South
Atlantic, Namibia's charms are well known in neighboring
South Africa, but outsiders have only recently discovered its deserts, seascapes,
bush walking and boundlessness. Blessed with rich natural resources, a solid
modern infrastructure and diverse traditional cultures, Namibia is
a beautiful country of vast potential.
ZIMABABWE: With more than a passing resemblance
to a National Geographic best-of issue, Zimbabwe is a beautiful
and usually safe country to visit. It boasts the majestic Victoria Falls,
magnificent wildlife preserves and the medieval ruins of Great Zimbabwe , as
well as the bustling city of Harare. N wange National Park
home to over30 000 elephants, one of the highest concentrations in Africa.
The reserve extends over 1.4 million ha of grassy plains, mopane woodlands,
and pans - supporting a wealth of game and prolific bird life. Lion, leopard,
wild dog and spotted hyena flourish here as over 16 antelope species occur
in abundance in the park.
Mana Pools National Park Herds of over 500 buffalo can be
seen, as well as large numbers of elephant, eland, kudu, waterbuck, nyala,
impala, zebra, hippo and crocodile. Many predators are present too, including
lion, leopard, wild dog and spotted hyena. Kariba isregarded
as the “Riviera” of Zimbabwe; Lake Kariba offers a variety
of activities including water skiing, yachting, canoe safaris, and fishing.
Kariba is well know for its tiger fish which give anglers a good fight
- and plenty excitement. An unforgettable must is a stay on a houseboat
on Lake Kariba, and sunset game viewing cruises.
Mozambique: There are a fair number of
things to see, including world-renowned beaches, World Heritage sites,
funky colonial architecture and colorful local culture. Friendly people
abound... Ponta
Do Ouro , situated close to the South African border, is sheltered by a protected
bay and flanked by high-forested dunes. It offers safe swimming, excellent
game fishing, rock and surf angling, scuba diving, and a once in a lifetime
experience of diving with dolphins.
Bazaruto is a tropical paradise of unspoilt beaches,
coral reefs and turquoise waters. This area is rated as one of the top
bill fishing areas in the world, and game fish include giant kingfish,
king mackerel, Wahoo and Dorado. Scuba diving and snorkeling are the two
major draw cards of Bazaruto. Other exciting water sports include windsurfing,
hobiecat sailing, and water skiing.
