‘Namibia is one of Africa's best-kept secrets.
Endless stretches of stark rocky plains and wonderful moonscapes.
Sample the freshest seafood while you take in the beautiful architecture
of the coastal town of Swakopmund. Sleep beneath a desert sky
sprayed with stars before tackling the highest sand dunes in the
world. Watch the thunderous Atlantic crashing onto shimmering
desert beaches.
Discover Etosha National Park and an abundance of game including
lion, elephant, and rhino. Amidst the breathtaking landscape at
Twyfelfontein, witness the world's largest collection of ancient
Bushman rock art. Travelling as far north as the Opuwo, one of
the last great wilderness areas in Africa, we experience the thrilling
climax of this journey, the quest to find the magnificent Himba
people in the remote and beautiful Kaokoveld.’

Week 1
Windhoek, Namibia’s capital city. Modern
skyscrapers blend with historic churches and museums. Our accommodation
is very central and you are free to enjoy the city at your own
pace. We depart for our first day on the road and the wonders
of the Namib Naukluft National Park, home to one of the oldest
deserts on earth. We will wake early morning to catch an awesome
sunrise over the highest sand dunes in the world at Sossusvlei.
Optional flights and hot air ballooning provide wonderful photographic
opportunities. There is also a stack of other activities available
in this beautiful 130 million year old desert.
We make our way to Swakopmund, Namibia's premier
holiday destination. Adventure activities like deep-sea fishing,
boat trips, dune boarding and quad biking are all on offer. Alternatively
you could just relax on the beach or wander around town and sample
the colonial architecture or one of the many restaurants and bars.
We stay in hotel accommodation close to all amenities.
Our journey continues into the Skeleton Coast
National Park, a place where harsh desert collides with the thunderous
Atlantic Ocean. Here we discover one of the most unique ecosystems
in the world, and visit the Cape Cross seal colony.
This protected coastline is littered with shipwrecks, helpless
victims of these wild shores. At Twyfelfontein we view the largest
collection of bushman rock art and engravings in Africa before
a late optional afternoon walk in search of the elusive Damaraland
desert elephant.
Week 2
Journeying north into the interior we discover
one of Africa's last great wilderness areas – the Kaokoveld.
Here we have a chance to interact with the elusive Himba people,
an ancient nomadic tribe who still follow the traditional ways
of their ancestors.
We leave the Kaokoveld and continue on to Otjitotongwe
Lodge and Cheetah Sanctuary where we should arrive in time for
evening feeding. A unique opportunity to interact with the fastest
mammals on earth. Next we head for the famous Etosha National
Park for three unforgettable days of game viewing. An abundance
of wildlife awaits us including: lion, leopard, cheetah, black
and white rhino, elephant and a wide range of plains game.
Each camp also has floodlit water holes, which make for relaxed
evening game viewing. Our last stop before returning to Windhoek
is the Waterberg Plateau National Park, a sanctuary for many of
Namibia's endangered wildlife species and home to even more breathtaking
scenery. We explore the park with options for game drives and
hikes. A short drive takes us back to Windhoek where our tour
ends.
