An Africana book collection and treasures from another era weave
the spell of olden days.

in the Kruger National Park. Built in authentic pioneer tradition,
Plains Camp has the serenity of a 19 th century naturailsts
rest. Offering 4 en-suite African Explorer style tents, (8

the Mutlumuvi river opens mid October 2003 and sleep outs on
elevated platforms will be available from December. Guest have

This is the ideal base
for your Rhino Walking Safari. The camp is in the middle of
a Kruger National Park wilderness area and great care has been
taken to minimize the impact. The whole camp is raised on stilts,
no concrete was used at all, all structures are canvas, solar
power generates the power requirements and n trees were cut
down. This is in keeping with the ethics of Rhino Walking Safaris: "tread lightly on the land".
There are few true wilderness areas left in the world and Rhino
Walking Safaris takes its responsibility of preserving this
wilderness as something it is not prepared to compromise on.
Guests staying at Plains Camp
can explore the 12000ha private wilderness area in the Kruger
National Park. They can also enjoy day and night game drives
through the rest of the Kruger National Park. This is the only
wilderness area in the Kruger Park to be given to a private operator.
Sharing a common boundry with famouse Mala Mala Game reserve
for 14 km's is a sure indication that trailists will see an abundance
of game. The area is only 20 minutes from Skukuza, the heart
of the Kruger National Park, so getting there is easy by air
or by road.
